Matt and Sharon Kew have been involved in the motor vehicle trade for over 28 years. In 1989 they brought a small panelbeating business in Thames and had a total of three staff.
Over the years their company out grew the space and in 2003 they decided to make the big move out to Kopu which is 5.9km south of Thames. It was a big step to take at the time, but as time went on and the years went by, they have never looked back.
During the early years out at Kopu, Matt and Sharon decided to restructure their panel beating business from a panel beating / accident repair shop to repairing motorhomes, as more motorhomes were calling in for repairs and then by word of mouth and advertising in the Motorhomes magazine, 90% of their business is now recreational vehicle repairs.
At Autotech, there are three tradesmen and one training apprentice on the floor. All skilled in aspects of motorhome body repair and in all the other services they offer. Sharon and Matt are both in the office; Sharon in administration & accounts and Matt in customer relations, quoting and professional advice regarding new repair techniques and problem solving.
