Launching Blue Moon Collection in 2002 Sandra Clark and Lorraine McAra found the perfect way to indulge their twin passions, a love of the exotic and a fascination with faraway places. It gave them every excuse to head away overseas several times a year and venture daringly into seldom-visited quarters of old cities of Europe, the Middle East and north Africa to collect the exquisite and fanciful décor items they discovered there.
The long-time friends had always had an eye for the different and a flair for imaginative home decorating and with Blue Moon Collection, they could select not just a few pieces for their own homes, but container-load after container-load to fill a shop.
Both married, Sandra to Dair and and Lorraine to Brian, and both now grandmothers, they're unstoppable in their quest for unique decorative pieces, frequently adding new destinations to their itinerary and always returning with a hoard of treasures to delight those who share their enthusiasm for creative décor design.
